How to link or refer to English-Estonian-English Dictionary of Economics

As conditions for usage state, it is allowed to use this dictionary in any objectives and methods without reference (except when using it to compile another dictionary). Of course, the references are still welcome, for example in the following format:
      English-Estonian-English Dictionary of Economics. [http://toomas-marit.hinnosaar.net/dictionary/]. 19.10.2004.

The links from other web-pages are very welcome. There are two alternatives of electronic references (detailed instructions are below):
  1. by linking to the web-site of Dictionary of Economics,
  2. by adding search-box to your web-page.

Name

Depending on the context, it is best to use one of the following names: Note: Dictionary includes contributions by many people.

Search-box

You can easily add the one of the following searchboxes to any homepage (you can try their functioning also here):
Simplest:
EEE Dictionary of Economics
Slightly customized:
EEE Dictionary of Economics
With header and new font:
EEE Dictionary of Economics

To include this, you have to copy and paste the following HTML-code to the homepage:
And that's it. To customize the look of search-box, you have to alter the copied HTML-code. For example the first BGCOLOR command (bgcolor=gray) changes the border color and the second on the background color of the box.

To customize the result's (including colors, language, title), you have to alter the following line in the copied HTML-code:
<INPUT type=hidden name=style VALUE="x:Back to where you came from;b:lightgray">

Here the VALUE consists basically a list of parameters (in pairs as key:value), separated by ";". Modifying these parameters is relatively simple. In the previous line for example the part "b:lightgray;", means that background (that is denoted by "b") must be "lightgray".

The whole list of commands is the following:
KeyMeaning
bBackground color
tText color
lLinks color
hLinks background color, when hovering by mouse
sText size
iBackground image (full link, i.e. http://.../)
wPage, where the title should link back (by default, the page where search-box is included).
xTitle or header (may include HTML-code without quotation marks, including for example IMG command)
lLanguage and translation direction (for example: english_en_ee, eesti_ee_en)

Troubleshooting

Possible problems:
  • If the submit button leads to some other page than dictionary, you have probably forgotten to close the previous FORM-command. Then you need just to find the right </FORM> from previous HTML-code and move it ahead of the copied HTML-code.
